OH EM GEEE OH EM GEEE omg omg omgok, i apologize profusely for the extended vacation. i could blame finals, or moving out once and for all of the god-awful sorority house into my lovely new apartment, or maybe even my recent journey to southern alabama. but really, i was just a bit weary of writing stories about shoes and shopping and sorority life. i decided that drastic measures were needed and, in order to gain some better posting material, i had better venture forth into the brave, bloggerless world and live out a few adventures.

and oh, what adventures.

late in the semester, my best friend shelby and i made our weekly pilgrimage to chelinos, a mexican food restaurant we revere both for its enchiladas and our ability to eat there for under $3.50. on that particular evening, as we prepared to leave the table, our waiter delivered shelby a drink sent from a table of gentlemen across the restaurant. immediately, we feverishly discussed our next course of action. the massive salted beer goblets chelinos serves their beers in aren't exactly designed for travel, so shelby decided she would stop by and thank her benefactors on the way out. we walked to the counter, we paid, i headed for the door, and shelby walked over to say thanks.

i leaned against the glass door and watched a funny look appear on shelby's face as she started chatting with the table of guys, all of which had been obscured from my view the entire time at the restaurant. she motioned for me to come over.

"isn't that jason white?" she whispered.

"yes." i replied, knees buckling in the presence of football gloriousness.

"would you like to sit down and have a beer with us?" asked jason white.

"actually we were just headed back to my apart--," said shelby.

"yes." i replied.

we sat down and jason signaled the waitress to bring another round for the whole table. minutes later, another guy arrived at the restaurant and pulled up a chair between shelby and i.

it was teddy lehman. i began to feel weak. at first i thought it could possibly be the shot of tequila which had so generously been provided, but then i realized it was simply the double shot of Awesome sitting at the table with me.

after a trip to oklahoma city with jason, his girlfriend, and two other friends, a night that began with chelinos ended with jason white sampling my hashbrowns at IHOP. and of course, being the complete nerd that i am, the digital camera was close by when we had our OU football celebrity sighting.

i've met jason, i've met teddy, and now i've taken a job waitressing at the norman bar owned by bob stoops. as i see it, it's only a matter of time.

i'm in football heaven, and i've almost earned my wings.
