21 shots is not a myth, it's jennie.these pictures were taken at my friend jennie's 21st birthday party last week at norman's finest historical landmark, the mont. i was going to write a nice little piece about college and college life and how fantastic and fun and once-in-a-lifetime it is, but then fate stepped in and gave me something infinitely more interesting and infinitely less cheesy to write about.

it was saturday morning, before the big game against ucla. i, unfortunately, had been persuaded to skip the big game for a day of slaving away at the shoe store. as i drove to work, i decided to swing into sonic to console myself with a breakfast burrito.

as i waited at an intersection, sonic heaven plainly in sight across the road, my foot slipped off the break and i rolled into the car sitting in front of me.

was it another student? a high school kid? perhaps a nice, elderly, understanding gentleman?

it was a cop. i rear-ended a freaking cop.

he flipped his lights on immediately and sauntered back to my driver's side window. the mont, sponsored by alcohol poisioning. click to enlarge.his attempt to be harsh about the entire incident quickly degraded into both of us joking about the fact that i chose my very first car accident to be with the police. and the conversation dissolved into giggling after i pointed out how convenient it was to rear-end a cop, since we wouldn't have to call anyone else to fill out the report.

or so i thought. from that point on, i dealt with exactly 5 other police officers. they had to take detailed pictures of our collision, measure the exact distance we were from the curb, and call the supervisor out to take a look. meanwhile, one of my friends drives by and i realize, i will never live this down. ever.

and we all thought lauren was the one to fear on the road.

look out, policemen everywhere. kristin is on the attack.
