pretty!dear freshmen,

i realize you're stressed. i realize that balancing your college life is difficult at first. i know that doing your laundry seems like a huge challenge right now. so i'm going to help you out.

the seven rules for school at OU, by kristin.

1. don't wear your sorority/fraternity tshirt to the first day of class. i can't really explain why, but it's just not ok. just don't do it. trust me.

2. girls, don't dress up all cute for class. high heels, expensive handbags, adorable little skirts, and dark red lipstick are nightime things. tshirts, jeans, gym shorts, and sweatpants are daytime things. please do not confuse the two, or i might have to make fun of you. lots.

3. the first question out of your mouth when you meet new people should never, ever, ever be "what house are you in?" ever. never ever.

4. if the class takes attendance, go to class. if the class has some daunting title like "organic chemistry," go to class. if the class has less than 30 people in it, never skip a day. if you're in a lecture hall of 500 people for something called "understanding art," go when you can't find anything better to do.

5. free food is your best friend. look for papa john's pizza giveaways on the south oval. like this week.

6. speaking of pizza, it's called "pizza shuttle" and the phone number is 364-4440. go ahead and put that in your cell phone. the shuttle is your new best friend.

7. on that note, beware the freshman 15. or 20. or 45. it's real, it's not a myth, and it happens. often.

help me out people, i know i forgot a few.
