well, my love affair with this shoe has ended. because my roommates are threatening to throw out either my old sneakers or me, and because my mom is the greatest, today was to be a shoe buying day. i was *so* thrilled, dug around downstairs for the secret place i was stashing them, ran upstairs, slipped my foot into one expecting a feeling of pure ecstasy and fulfillment, and nothing. no spark. in fact, they looked like boats. so sad when a good thing goes bad.
now, i realize that when i talk about my sorority and the girls, you'd probably like me to keep it to mainly pillow fights and tickle fights and things like that, but today i'm going to break from the usual madpony tradition of all fluff and no stuff to be a little serious about two girls who i love who are going through some bad stuff this week.
that sexy blonde in the middle over there is my sweet roommate jennie. that beautiful girl is one of the nicest, kindest people i've ever known and definitely one girl i'd point to if you asked why i was proud to be in my house. jennie lost her 24-year-old cousin conner this weekend in a car accident. i'm sure you can imagine that coming back to school for two days of tests and papers has been pretty hard on her. ashley is another sexy blonde in my house (there are so many! :D) who's had a rough week. ashley, who will one day be dr. ashley, is the smartest thing ever. she runs half of campus and still finds time to hang out with me quite a bit. anyway, ashley's had a week of feeling generally unappreciated and has unfortunately experienced some friends being unfriendlike. so, i know both of you read this from time to time, being two of the few girls in my house who are cool enough to know about madpony, and i just want to say *i love you both,* you are so awesome and i hope you both have a wonderful thanksgiving break and come back to OU and the picture perfect weeks that you deserve.

i love the rest of you guys too. i need to get to work on our links over there to the left because, for no reason at all, so many super cool people have sent tons of traffic flowing our way lately.
