today was the greatest day for absolutely no reason. it was a sunny and pretty day but not that warm. work was ok but not that special. i got more sleep than usual but only five hours. i may even have failed a philosophy test.
i couldn't be happier.
maybe it's a happiness hangover from friday night.
the strokes were really amazing. if you're looking for more pictures of the show, there's another one here that casey took.
we finally got to the city about two hours before the concert, and casey took me to my favorite place in bricktown, a mexican restaurant called abuelos. i love mexican food almost as much as i love diet coke and annie, but i love this place because of the fountain. the whole restaurant looks like a mexican courtyard. according to my spanish book. i've never made it farther than the border towns near south padre island.
we ate way too much, the walk to the concert was way too far, and it was freezing outside. i was fascinated with the horse-drawn carriages, since all mad pony princesses are fascinated by horses where ever we see them, so casey stopped to take a picture. then he had the man driving the carriage stop and told me to climb in.
i love that boy.
so we arrived at the strokes concert in style and made our way to the end of the longest line known to man. silly me, i'd worn a pretty and thin little sweater, (in case this guy saw me,) and i was two seconds from freezing to death when we finally made it inside.
i think casey wanted to be in the middle of all the action, but he's really the sweetest boy ever, so we bought our tshirts and made our way to near the back. we found the perfect place to stand, on the front of a platform in the back and center.
i also saw several people from high school and OU.
hi conner, adam, mike, jordan, and jason. and casey's friends from art class. i hope you enjoyed the concert too.
i can't imagine that you didn't.
the show was great, casey and i ran back to the car, and went home, and it was a wonderful friday.
the end.
oh, saturday was just as fantastic.
more on that later.
